Degree Show - 1 June – 12 June 2015 Glasgow Kelvin West End Campus
These eagerly awaited degree shows are a result of Glasgow Kelvin’s partnerships with Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (University of Dundee) for Art and Jewellery, and with Manchester Metropolitan University for Fashion. The production of high quality art works, artefacts and creations adorning work rooms and studios reflect the high level of skill and artistic ability of the students on the degree programmes.
This year’s exhibition is presented throughout the West Campus for the first time and features the recent work of the current 4th year students. As part of their studies the students have had the opportunity to gain workplace experience, working with established artists, art galleries, curating and installing exhibitions and working with artist’s organisation and community groups. This exhibition showcases the achievements of individual graduates and highlights the artistic development of the department as a whole.
Each exhibition is new and exciting and this one features a broad range of media – painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography and many other techniques that are all practiced and taught on campus. The exhibition not only reflects the creativity and dynamism of the art department itself but also the current national art scene.
We hope you enjoy the exhibition.
