Glasgow Kelvin College HND Music Performance student, Toni Woods, is featuring in the Scottish national press - the Daily Record – as she’s set to take the music industry by storm when she launches her second single, ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend’ on 31st May 2019.
Music journalist, Rick Fulton, has given Toni a glowing write-up as she prepares to debut the single at the Electric Honey Showcase in Oran Mor on 30th May. Part of a dynamic line-up of Electric Honey artists like The Nickajack Men and Flew The Arrow, Toni, from Easterhouse, is fulsome in her praise of staff and students alike at Glasgow Kelvin College.
Toni recorded the song at the college’s Springburn studio supported by the production skills of Melanie Dutton, a Sound Production student, for release on the trailblazing Electric Honey label. This is Scotland’s first student-run record label, managed by HN Music Business students, which has played a key role in launching the careers of Belle & Sebastian, Biffy Clyro and many other headliners over the years.
This is excellent recognition of a young and undoubtedly talented artiste and the College wishes Toni, and her fellow performers, all the best for an exciting and sensational gig on 30th May at Oran Mor.
