This new course is designed for you if you have a passion for the Beauty Industry

Through practical working salons here at Kelvin, you will be introduced to the basic skills and creative techniques used in industry, you will be taught by a talented team of lecturers with valuable  opportunities to work and train with leading brands including Dermalogica, Loreal, and NSI providing additional industry recognised diplomas through a series of workshops and online learning

You will further develop your practical and interpersonal skills by training in a realistic salon environment providing a full range of Beauty treatments to paying clients

Method of Assessment

Written Assessment and Digital Folios are used to ensure underpinning knowledge. Practical skills are assessed through observation in live salons.

  • Work experience with our community partners will be a compulsory requirement of the course and will be essential in building your confidence and personal development.

Entry requirements

  • Must be 16 year or over at the course start date.
  • National 4 or other equivalent qualification or relevant work experience
  • Applicants whose first language is not English should have a minimum ESOL level 5 or equivalent 
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for the Beauty industry is an advantage.

If you don’t meet the entry requirements, you may be directed to other College courses

Career Opportunities

This course would enable you to go in to he Beauty Industry at a junior level or you could go on to further study.
