NQ BEAUTY SKILLS WITH ESOL
The course will introduce you to basic beauty skills whilst improving your English and developing essential and employability skills.
The course offers a balance of units incorporating theory and practical elements within the subject of Beauty providing underpinning theory knowledge required to develop practical beauty skills.
Alongside the delivery of beauty a focus will be placed on progressing the English language by way of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The practical elements of the course are delivered in a realistic working salon environment, involving members of the public, in preparation for further study or employment.
What you need to quality for entry to this course ...
No formal Qualifications are required however, this course is aimed at candidates whose first language is not English, but who have a good intermediate to upper-intermediate level of English (ESOL National 4 / 5).
A genuine interest in Beauty and improving English language skills, while working as part of team, is essential. All candidates will participate in a recruitment process.
Course topics include:
- Varied beauty skills including manicure, facial treatments, make up artistry
- Communication
- ESOL
- Working with others.
Full Time - 2.5 days per week
1 Academic Year
August - June.
