The expertise and opinion of Glasgow Kelvin College staff is much in demand these days – especially where creative flair and a touch of class is needed!
Lecturer in Fashion Studies, Faculty of Business & Creative Industries, Sandra Thomson, was approached last year by the well-regarded Confetti Awards and invited to be part of their expert judging panel. Clearly Sandra’s wide experience and respected judgement in the fashion industry is a sought-after commodity.
Now in its 5th year, the Confetti Awards look to recognise and reward the Best Business within the Scottish Wedding Industry for the hard work they do and the extra miles they go to provide a first-class service.
The Awards took place on Sunday 26th January at a glittering Gala Final in the sumptuous surroundings of the Crown Plaza where Sandra was delighted to be part of this prestigious event. She judged Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride and Men’s Outfitter categories.
Sandra and Alison Malcolm from the Fashion programme are both pictured here during the evening and both looking as stylish and glamourous as their students and colleagues would expect. Sandra is also pictured with host, Des Clarke.
It’s great to have such dazzlingly elegant ambassadors for the College and to know that the excellent reputation of our staff is so highly-prized.
