As part of the College's Strategic Planning process, we were delighted to welcome around forty of our partner stakeholders to our Big Ask 2018 event at Easterhouse this week. The consultation event provoked extensive discussion where partners from schools, voluntary sector, local authority, industry and community organisations identified their key needs from Glasgow Kelvin College in the medium term. This event supports the staff consultation event which took place at the Staff Conference at start of session 2017/18 and the regular participation of staff and student representatives in all internal Strategic Planning events. These activities will help us to frame the draft College Strategic Plan for 2018-21 which will be considered by the Board in June.
Despite the cold, it was a lively event with input from a range of speakers and was followed by a tasty buffet lunch to thank everyone for their valuable input.
Thanks go to the staff at Platform and to all our GKC colleagues whose support and contribution helped to ensure the success of this event. A report on feedback from the Big Ask will be made available on the intranet in the near future.
