Shortlist announced for national awards.
The most outstanding individuals and institutions that the FE sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the 2019 Tes FE Awards.
It's been revealed that Glasgow Kelvin College has been shortlisted in the Apprenticeship Programme of the Year category for the regional Foundation Apprenticeship programme which it runs in partnership with City of Glasgow College, Glasgow Clyde College and GCRB (Glasgow Colleges’ Regional Board).
The programme gives senior phase school pupils from the Glasgow metropolitan area the opportunity to study part of their week at college and on placement with a local employer to learn vocational and workplace skills. The programme is part-funded with EU funding through Skills Development Scotland.
Tes FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries.
“We had more entries for this year’s categories than ever before, and the standard was higher than ever. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement.”
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 22 March 2019
