Engaging with its communities, the College works with partners and employers to create and deliver relevant industry-standard programmes and inclusive progression opportunities in a vibrant and sustainable environment.
Following a restructure, the College is now looking to recruit into the newly created and critical role of Vice Principal, Operations. With responsibility for the strategic development and operational success of the corporate functions of Glasgow Kelvin College, you will deliver sustainable financial and environmental performance, drive forward operational efficiency and transformational change across the College.
As part of the Executive Team you will provide leadership across all aspects of the management and governance of the College, promoting an environment centred on shared values, vision and purpose and a culture of innovation, collaboration and teamwork.
This critical role requires an inspiring, solutions focused and forward-thinking leader with relevant experience of managing multidisciplinary teams and contributing to a culture of reflection, responsibility and excellence. You will be an accomplished communicator, able to build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate:
- Significant financial acumen and clear strengths in financial management and budget planning at appropriate levels of complexity
- Evidence of successful strategic and operational resource management in an appropriately complex setting
- Direct involvement in driving and delivering positive transformation, working closely with the diverse range of individuals across the College and Further Education Sector
- Experience in utilising, existing and emerging, technology to deliver performance improvements and efficiencies
