CERTIFICATE IN YOUTHWORK PRACTICE
This course is aimed at Youth Workers and volunteers working in Youth Work settings with young people aged 12 and above.
It aims to enhance and develop existing skills in the field of youth work and will also develop new skills and practice in working with young people in modern day setting.
To undertake this course you must be actively involved in either paid or voluntary youth work roles, assessments will be based on both theory and practice of Youth Work so being actively working or volunteering in a youth work setting is crucial

This course consists of seven individually certificated units each of approximately 20 hours learning, delivered by:
3 hour College-based induction and introduction session;
3 hours of reflective reading;
12 hours of reflective practice; and
3 hours of reflective evaluation of learning (either College-based or online submission).
The units which make up this course will be delivered by an initial seminar introduction, followed by the opportunity to read more, reflect and practice in your own youth work environment, with online discussion support in i-Develop, the national forum for Community Learning and Development.
