Glasgow Kelvin College’s Easterhouse Campus has once again achieved Cycling Friendly Award with Distinction, reaffirming the College’s strong commitment to sustainable, healthy and active travel.
Originally awarded the distinction in December 2022, Easterhouse Campus has now been successfully reassessed and reissued the award for a further three years, recognising the continued efforts to support cycling across the campus community.
The Cycling Friendly Award, delivered by Cycling Friendly – a Cycling Scotland programme, highlights organisations that actively promote cycling as a practical and inclusive travel option. At Glasgow Kelvin College, this commitment can be seen across all campuses, with access to lockers, showers, secure bike parking, and a free Bike Loan Scheme available to both students and staff.
In addition, monthly bike maintenance sessions take place at Springburn Campus in partnership with NG Homes, offering practical support to help cyclists keep their bikes safe and road-ready.
With more cycling events and activities planned, the College continues to build a welcoming environment for active travel — encouraging everyone to get involved and keep moving sustainably.
