Glasgow Kelvin College is celebrating a fantastic achievement at this year’s Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) Annual Dinner, where three of our apprentices were recognised in the prestigious Apprentice of the Year category.
The awards, attended by Tony and Stephen Connor, showcased the very best emerging talent in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry — and Kelvin’s apprentices swept the board, taking home all three top prizes!
🥇 1st Place: Martin Oates – REFAC 2nd Year
🥈 2nd Place: Dylan Burke – S&M 4th Year
🥉 3rd Place: Alex Bilsland – REFAC 2nd Year
With only seven nominees from across Scotland, this is a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for our Building Services Department.
These results highlight the high standard of training and dedication within Glasgow Kelvin College’s Refrigeration and Air Conditioning programmes and reflect the commitment of both our staff and students to excellence in their field.
Congratulations to Martin, Dylan, Alex, and their lecturers for this incredible success — an inspiring example of talent, teamwork, and professional skill at its best. 👏
