Kelvin College Active Campus is proud to be working in partnership with Scottish Volleyball to grow and develop the sport across our student community. Through this collaboration, we aim to increase opportunities for students to learn, play, and progress within volleyball—whether they are complete beginners or aspiring competitive athletes.

🤝 Growing the Sport for Our Students

This partnership allows us to introduce more structured volleyball activity on campus, including:

  • Weekly coached sessions delivered in line with national development standards
  • Pathways for students to join local clubs and competitions
  • Skill‑building opportunities designed to make volleyball more accessible and enjoyable for all

By working closely with Scottish Volleyball development staff, we’re creating an inclusive environment that encourages participation, physical activity, and new sporting experiences.

🎓 CPD for Sports Coaching Students

As part of the partnership, we also deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for learners on our Sports Coaching programmes. These sessions provide:

  • Hands‑on experience with volleyball coaching methods
  • Workshops led by Scottish Volleyball development coaches
  • Practical insights into planning and delivering engaging sessions
  • Opportunities to build coaching confidence and enhance employability skills

This ensures our coaching students gain valuable real‑world experience that supports their studies and future careers in sport.
