Glasgow Kelvin College is delighted to welcome its new Principal, Derek Smeall.
As former Vice-Principal for Curriculum, Planning & Performance at New College Lanarkshire, Derek will be bringing his extensive experience and expertise to the role at Glasgow Kelvin.
With 15 years’ service in the Royal Air Force and as an avionics development engineer with Marconi Avionics, Derek’s industrial experience has provided a strong basis for his academic career. Derek has taken up his post this week and is settling into his role with enthusiasm for the years ahead. He says,
“I am proud to be part of such an exceptional College with our outstanding record of delivering life-changing education. I am excited about our future and look forward to working together with stakeholders, students and staff to shape our continuing success.”
