Glasgow Kelvin College student Molly Horth has created a stunning tartan to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Glasgow’s twinning with Nuremberg. Her design, which incorporates colou`rs representing both cities, was chosen from a competition involving students from Glasgow and Germany.
Reflecting on her inspiration, Molly shared,
“I wanted it to be modern, but also be able to reach ‘older eyes’ too – the grey and black represent the industrial heritage of both cities.”
The tartan has now been officially registered by Glasgow City Council, marking a significant milestone in the city’s history.
