During Christmas, it’s easy to get a little too carried away and over-indulge on sweet treats and delights. But, what a better way to get fit than to start the year getting back to/taking up cycling?
Here are a few tips to help you get on bikes:
- Make a list of what you need in order to cycle safely and comfortably: lights, high visibility vest, waterproof clothing, a bike, a helmet, etc.
- Make a plan: How are you going to get hold of the material that you need? What is the safest/quickest route? You can contact Olga (firstname.lastname@example.org) for support and to find out how the College can help you in this process.
- Set yourself a challenge: this can be a small challenge, such as cycling to the College one or two days a week. Try to keep the same day(s) every week, and it’ll be easier to stick to it.
- Buddy up! You can cycle with someone who lives close to you, or you can join the College’s regular social rides every Tuesday at 12pm at Springburn campus (starting on January 14th January, from 12 to 1pm).
