Moira MacDonald brings over three decades of extensive experience in the National Health Service (NHS) across Greater Glasgow and Clyde, where she has held various senior roles in Human Resources. Currently serving as the Head of Learning and Education at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Moira has played a pivotal role in shaping and delivering people strategies that underpin high-quality patient care. Her career has focused on fostering staff development and driving forward initiatives that support the evolving needs of a modern healthcare workforce.
A long-standing and active member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Moira contributes to both regional and national groups, reinforcing her commitment to professional excellence in HR and education.
Moira is passionate about skills development and sees this as a transformative time for education. She is eager to support Glasgow Kelvin College in delivering opportunities that prepare students for meaningful careers and future success.
Outside of her professional work, Moira has volunteered for several years with the Boys’ Brigade in Scotland, where she leads engaging activities for the youngest members of the Anchors Section.
