Glasgow Kelvin College’s Community & Youth Hubs have been recognised for their positive impact across Glasgow, winning the Community Impact Award for Education, Skills & Employability at The Inspiring City Awards 2026.
Sponsored by Allied Vehicles Group, the award celebrates the difference the Hubs are making for children, young people and families in Springburn and Easterhouse.
Operating from Glasgow Kelvin College campuses, the Community & Youth Hubs provide trusted and welcoming spaces where local people can access learning opportunities, wellbeing support, family activities and connections to wider services.
Since 2021, almost 3,000 people have engaged with the programme, helping to reduce isolation, raise aspirations and create pathways into education and employment.
The Inspiring City Awards highlighted the Hubs’ role in helping people build connections and access opportunities, recognising the meaningful difference the programme is making within Glasgow’s communities.
The awards, run in partnership with The Herald and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, celebrate the people and organisations making a positive contribution to the city, from strengthening communities to supporting education, skills and economic growth.
The award is a fantastic recognition of the work of College staff, students and community partners who have helped develop the Community & Youth Hubs and continue to support the communities they serve.
