Glasgow Kelvin College Student Association (GKCSA) has been recognised for its work supporting students, winning Best Student Union in the 2026 Good Things Happen Awards.
The awards celebrate individuals and organisations making a positive difference, with GKCSA recognised for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds can find support and get involved.
The judges highlighted the wide range of support provided by the Student Association, including peer mental health support, inclusive clubs, LGBTQIA+ resources, free SIM cards, and its food and clothing bank – all helping students overcome challenges and thrive both in and outside the classroom.
The award is a fantastic recognition of the work carried out by the Student Association throughout the year, from events and activities to practical support that makes a real difference to students across the College.
The Good Things Happen Awards are organised by The Insurance Emporium, with winners receiving a certificate and award goody bag.
