This full-time course helps you gain independence, develop confidence, and plan for the future. You’ll explore lots of practical subjects while learning how to work with others, make choices, and try new experiences.

You’ll have the chance to take part in exciting projects, use creative technology, and learn real-life skills for work and everyday living.

This course is a great next step if you’re moving on from Level 2 or school and want to keep building your skills for life, work, and independence.

This course is for learners who:

  • Have a learning disability.
  • Are working at National Level 3.
  • Want to gain confidence and independence in a safe, supportive place.
  • Enjoy creative learning, teamwork, and trying new experiences.

What you will learn

You’ll learn through hands-on lessons, projects, and teamwork, including:

  • Enterprise and Employability Projects – building skills for future work.
  • Cookery and Hospitality – preparing and sharing food through class events.
  • Health and Wellbeing – tracking your own fitness and mental health goals.
  • Creative Technology – exploring 3D design and virtual-reality tools.
  • Music and Podcasting – creating and recording your own media.
  • Independent Travel – learning about safety and confidence when travelling.
  • Community and Educational Visits – meeting people and exploring new places.

You’ll also work with employability professionals and use your imagination to explore career possibilities you may not have considered before.

✅ No formal qualifications are needed.

✅ You should:

  • Have a learning disability.
  • Be able to work at National Level 3.

College staff will meet with you to make sure the course fits your needs and that you get the right support.
