About The Hair and Beauty Department

Welcome to the Hair & Beauty Department at Glasgow Kelvin College. We offer a variety of courses in hairdressing, barbering, creative beauty, and holistic therapies for those interested in developing practical skills for the hair and beauty industry.

Our programmes cover areas such as nails, brows, facials, massage, hair cutting, colouring, barbering techniques, and client care. Learning takes place in professional training salons, where students gain experience working with real clients and receive guidance from experienced staff.

The department provides a supportive and realistic environment to help you build both technical skills and professional confidence. Many students go on to further study or employment in salons, barbershops, spas, or as self-employed practitioners.

Our student, Amy, takes us through a day in the life of a Beauty student at Glasgow Kelvin College 💅
