Glasgow Kelvin College Support for Learning Department believes very much in Collaborative Approaches to Learning and has already this year seen their Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 Learners working with Learners from our Games and Sports and Health and Fitness Teams. This allied to the huge college wide success of the Support for Learning GK Velocity Cycling Programme and Level 8 Health and Fitness Learners building their Final Year Graded Units around learners from the SFL Department see's the SFL Department really playing a key role in the success of many areas of the college.
This positive approach to Inclusive Learning was given a huge boost last week with the help of staff from Scottish Disability Sport. SDS provided a total of Four Tutors who arrived at the college to offer their professional knowledge and experience to our young coaches and were repaid with energy and enthusiasm in abundance. SDS Staff commented on the positivity of our young people as well as the excellent facilities and organisation of the college. We would like to say a Massive thanks to Scottish Disability Sport for sparking the imaginations of our young people and allowing them to consider the importance of creating an Inclusive Coaching Environment within their practices.
